Salt production cycle, from collection to distribution.
The first phase consists in the withdrawal of the Adriatic Sea’s water by powerfull suction pump that let it into appropiate salt-pans with evaporating function.
Subsequently sea water has transferred in further salt-pans in which the action of the solar beams and the wind involve a further evaporation and increase the temperature until obtaining high salt concentration and the sediment of sodium chloride.
After this phase the residual water has eliminated from the salt-pans in order to let the salt drawing. Carried in Piazzolla Sali’s plants, natural sea salt has introduced in the production lines and subjected to the working process.
Later depending on the uses of the salt, it is washed, centrifuged, dried at 220°C., ground, screened, enriched with iodine and anti-caking agent and packaged for selling.
